Project Manager Specializing in Data Management and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Salary: $140,000–$159,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide programmatic, strategic, and technical support to NASA's Chief Data Officer, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, and CDAIO teams.
• Formulate, coordinate, and implement data and AI policies, governance standards, metadata frameworks, classification models, and compliance mechanisms.
• Support AI risk assessment methodologies aligned with NIST AI RMF, including bias testing, safety validation, performance monitoring, and mitigation planning.
• Coordinate enterprise planning, NASA Data Strategy milestones, inter-organizational initiatives, and project performance metrics.
• Develop training materials, workforce development strategies, tailored curricula, and career progression maps for data and AI roles.
• Implement enterprise data management practices involving ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge graphs, metadata standards, and interoperability frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience supporting project and program management across IT, data, and AI domains.
• Ability to support policy governance, compliance, risk management, and agency-wide working groups.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.
