Engineering Technician (Civil Design)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the United States; occasional travel and limited field time may be required based on project needs.

Salary: $114,200–$161,900 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, technical reports, exhibits, and details for multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop and oversee simple and complex designs independently.
• Use AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D to create and modify technical drawings.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical oversight to the engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support project delivery.
• Identify project risks, design conflicts, and constructability concerns, then develop recommendations for resolution.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience; civil design experience is preferred.
• Experience or training with Autodesk Civil 3D and GIS, including ArcMap.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and authorization to work in the United States required.

Nice to have

• Civil design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
