Civil Drafter (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Compensation: $144,000 – $189,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Produce civil drawing sets for data center site development, including grading, drainage, erosion control, and utilities.
• Turn around drawing revisions within a day to meet permitting and construction deadlines.
• Build and maintain civil CAD standards, templates, and detail libraries to ensure project consistency.
• Coordinate civil sheets against structural and architectural models to identify and resolve clashes.
• Prepare permit exhibits, plats, and agency-requested revisions to keep projects moving.

Requirements

• Proven experience drafting civil construction documents in Civil 3D or AutoCAD that were issued for construction.
• Hands-on experience building surfaces, grading, corridors, and pipe networks in Civil 3D.
• Ability to maintain airtight drawing sets with consistent callouts and references.
• Experience managing CAD standards for multi-drafter environments.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center, industrial, or utility-scale solar site work.
• Proficiency in Revit or Navisworks for coordination.
• Experience with survey data processing, permit exhibits, or SWPPP/erosion control drawings.
