NDT Trainee / Junior NDT Tech (Power Generation)

Location: Fully remote from ATS Greenville, South Carolina; must be located within a reasonable distance of a major airport in the southeastern United States: South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, or Florida. Extensive travel is required.

Eligibility: U.S. Persons only because the role involves access to information controlled under ITAR. Applicants must pass stringent background investigations, a drug screen, and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

What you will do

• Prepare components and equipment for non-destructive testing inspections.
• Work alongside certified technicians to support project completion and develop inspection skills.
• Interface with personnel to clarify work scope, priorities, and customer expectations.
• Clean, organize, and maintain equipment before, during, and after projects.
• Document on-the-job training and complete other assigned technical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with math and print-reading skills.
• Ability to use computers for data entry and report writing.
• Formal NDT classroom training and documented on-the-job training or experience are preferred.
• Knowledge of PT, MT, UT, UTSW, and PAUT is preferred.
• Must be based in the southeastern United States near a major airport.
• Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, around operating equipment, and with radiation or hazardous materials; shifts may reach 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
