Junior Rail Systems Engineer - Traction Power and Electrical

Location: Ambler, PA, United States. The role is primarily in-office, with remote flexibility when needed.

What you will do

• Support rail systems design, simulation, testing, and commissioning for North American heavy rail and transit projects.
• Contribute to traction power and electrical infrastructure assignments.
• Assist with detailed designs and prepare drawings from technical notes and specifications.
• Coordinate with technicians and engineers on project delivery.
• Provide technical support to senior engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Recent or upcoming graduate with a preferred bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience or academic exposure to electric utilities, power electronics, electric power, simulations, or multi-system integration.
• Familiarity with technical writing and simulation software tools.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must be able to work from the Ambler, Pennsylvania office; employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not provided.

Nice to have

• Co-op or summer experience in engineering or metallurgical or chemical process plants.
• EIT certification.
• Experience with simulations, databases, field testing, CAD, or power systems.
