Salary: Target annual pay range of $108,908–$131,441; full annual pay range of $97,642–$152,722.

What you will do
- Develop remotely operated and automated reactor servicing tools, inspection equipment, and control systems.
- Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documentation.
- Coordinate tooling interfaces with NSSS component design and civil/structural teams.
- Work with Systems Engineering and Operations to develop handling plans, work sequences, and integrated tool designs.
- Develop engineering standards and criteria while solving complex technical problems.
- Support equipment procurement, fabrication, testing, and related engineering activities.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited four-year institution; ABET accreditation is preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant full-time professional engineering experience.
- Experience designing mechanical handling equipment and systems using structured engineering design processes.
- Experience planning, preparing, and checking mechanical design documentation.
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
- Ability to understand and apply 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 quality assurance requirements.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer license in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering.
- Experience working in a nuclear operating environment.
