Claremont Fiber Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Location: Claremont, North Carolina, United States; onsite work in a fiber manufacturing plant.

What you will do

• Set up, install, troubleshoot, repair, and test complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automated production equipment.
• Maintain process controls, motor control centers, computer control systems, human-machine interfaces, and basic plant electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and building equipment to support reliability, availability, output, and quality.
• Help determine installation and repair procedures and identify the diagnostic tools required for maintenance work.
• Maintain critical component inventory and provide technical support for operating plans.
• Serve as a Medical First Responder in the fiber plant and follow all safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One of the following: an associate degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical technology; at least two years of relevant military service and training; or at least three years of on-the-job industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform low-to-high-voltage electrical work, wire complex circuits, troubleshoot logic and control circuits, and repair and test production and plant equipment.
• Ability to perform light-to-heavy mechanical work, general plumbing, carpentry, and floor and tile installation or repair.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, volt/ohm/amp meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude, analytical problem-solving skills, communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• SAP experience.
• Fiber manufacturing experience.
