Solicitor (Civil Litigation)

Location: London, UK; hybrid with 1 day per week on-site

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of civil litigation and dispute matters from commencement through conclusion.
• Advise clients on civil disputes, legal merits, potential outcomes, and next steps.
• Draft letters before action and prepare and file different types of claims.
• Instruct barristers and advocates on behalf of clients involved in litigated matters.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while collaborating with legal, technology, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a solicitor.
• Hands-on experience in civil disputes and litigation.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, empathy, patience, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in London, including 1 day per week on-site.

Nice to have

• Interest in AI and its use in improving the legal system.
• Previous experience working in a technology company or startup.
