Solicitor Advocate or Barrister Band 1 (Insurance Law)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Liverpool office, with required travel to Manchester, Bolton, and court as needed. Working from home is available flexibly according to business needs.

What you will do

• Undertake advocacy, drafting, and advisory work in defendant insurance litigation.
• Handle pleadings, Stage 3 hearings, interlocutory hearings, and small claims trials.
• Support senior team members in delivering advocacy and litigation services.
• Assist with advocacy training and legal updates for fee earners.
• Contribute to the development of the in-house advocacy team and client-facing product initiatives.

Requirements

• Solicitors must hold Higher Rights of Audience or demonstrate related experience and enthusiasm for developing an advocacy career.
• Barristers must hold a full practising certificate.
• Suitable for candidates from NQ to 8 years' call or PQE.
• Experience in insurance fraud, general personal injury, employers' liability, public liability, or professional negligence is advantageous.
• Strong A-Levels and a degree.
