Goods In Assistant

Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom; on-site. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional shift or weekend work for operational needs.

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, process and accurately record incoming goods, materials and samples.
• Store, handle and dispatch samples, equipment and materials to clients, vessels, laboratories and other locations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock control systems, routine checks and updated documentation.
• Sort, package, transfer, store and dispose of samples according to procedures.
• Coordinate logistics with laboratory teams, couriers and site personnel.
• Maintain a safe, organised warehouse and support resolution of inventory, shipment and delivery discrepancies.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, organisation skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative working approach.
• Basic computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow procedures, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to perform manual handling and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a regulated environment.
• Forklift truck licence.
