Field Service Technician

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts, United States; must reside within the service territory. The role requires on-site customer visits, regional travel, overnight travel up to 10% on average and potentially up to 25%, plus overtime averaging 10–15% and potentially up to 25%.

Salary: $29–$31 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on industrial floor and bench scales at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues and support installations, projects, and repairs.
• Train equipment operators on proper use and care.
• Document service work, update service records, and maintain data integrity using a company laptop and proprietary software.
• Coordinate with scheduling, service support, sales, and other technicians to meet customer uptime and response-time expectations.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, equipment, and parts inventory while identifying service and product needs.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and high school diploma/GED, or five years of relevant work experience.
• One to three years of electro-mechanical repair or weighing industry experience; customer-facing or field service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair, PC networking, software configuration, Microsoft Office, and proprietary service software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Weights and Measures license.
• Must reside within the service territory and be able to travel to customer locations.
• Safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing; requires protective equipment and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
