Software Engineer, Full Stack (AI)

Location: Raleigh, NC; hybrid schedule with in-office work 3 days per week

Salary: $108,000–$131,000 per year

What you will do

• Own well-scoped features from implementation through production, breaking work into independently shippable increments.
• Build frontend experiences primarily with Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript, while contributing to backend services and APIs.
• Develop MCP and AI-powered capabilities using LLMs and agentic workflows to help customers interact with and understand their hirify.global data.
• Write maintainable, production-ready code and apply appropriate unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Use AI coding tools in daily development while reviewing generated code with strong engineering judgment and accountability.
• Participate in planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvements to reliability and delivery practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Full-stack application development experience, including backend services and APIs, with strong JavaScript or TypeScript frontend experience and a component-based framework.
• Daily use of AI tools as part of the software development workflow.
• Ability to independently deliver features, identify risks and blockers, and drive progress.
• Experience with appropriate testing strategies and strong communication, planning, collaboration, and code review skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue and TypeScript.
• Experience with large-scale datasets, long-running queries, or asynchronous processing.
• Experience building AI-powered features with LLM APIs, agents, or Model Context Protocol.
• Experience with Go or GCP, safe rollout patterns, feature flags, canary releases, and accessible web experiences.
