Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Hybrid Flex Work requires spending at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners, depending on the role.

Base pay range: CAD 140,000–210,000 per year. The role may also include a bonus or commission plan and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Build and deliver full-stack features that power AI agents embedded in HR and financial workflows.
• Design intuitive frontend experiences and resilient backend services for production SaaS products.
• Own services and user experiences from development through production operations.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, and platform teams in a cross-functional pod.
• Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and help raise engineering standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience with a web development framework; Python and Flask, Django, or FastAPI are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments; AWS is preferred.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, Docker, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java for backend development or TypeScript for frontend and full-stack development.
• Experience working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear solutions.
