Wind Tunnel Model Workshop Fitter and Integrator (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol Area, United Kingdom. Onsite workshop role with frequent travel within the UK and internationally to support wind tunnel testing.

What you will do

• Integrate precision wind tunnel models for test campaigns at Filton and external facilities worldwide.
• Assemble and fit machine-manufactured components using engineering drawings and specified geometric tolerances.
• Hand-finish metallic and non-metallic components, including blending interchangeable parts and subassemblies.
• Install static pressure measurement instrumentation, hypodermic tubing, ferrules, flexible tubing and identification markers.
• Perform pressure validation checks and support model configuration changes during testing.

Requirements

• Background in precision mechanical engineering.
• Advanced hand and workshop skills for small, complex components and projects.
• Methodical, pragmatic and systematic approach to work.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion and work independently or as part of an experienced team.
• Willingness to travel within and outside the UK is required.
• BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check, are required.
