Wiring / Assembly Technician (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Wire complex assemblies using technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and work instructions.
• Install terminals and solder high-density multi-pin connectors and surface-mount devices.
• Assemble control cabinets, racks, frames, and associated metalwork.
• Manufacture cable looms and assemble or repair printed circuit boards.
• Complete repairs, modifications, and upgrades in line with documented procedures.
• Check wired assemblies and maintain accurate ERP, paperwork, and traceability records while following ESD, housekeeping, and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Qualification or practical experience in electrical assembly.
• Significant assembly experience in a workshop manufacturing environment.
• Strong soldering skills, including complex high-density connectors and surface-mount devices.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematics.
• Meticulous assembly skills, strong time management, and the ability to work independently to defined deadlines.
• Must be a sole British Citizen and achieve at least Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance; higher security vetting may require 5–10 years of continuous UK residency.
