Tool Maker - 1st Shift

Location: Onsite at the Franklin, New Hampshire manufacturing facility, United States. First shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Plan layouts and perform machining, grinding, fitting, alignment, timing, calibration, and other bench operations.
• Build, alter, repair, and recondition tools, dies, jigs, gauges, fixtures, and related components from drawings.
• Program and operate CNC equipment, manual lathes, mills, and grinding equipment.
• Recommend design changes and develop temporary fixtures, jigs, and tooling methods.
• Set up tools for production and trial runs while working with operators, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and resolve production issues involving tools, fixtures, and jigs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of vocational or high school education and 10+ years of diversified tool, die, and gauge-making experience.
• Advanced knowledge of toolmaking, machining technology, mechanical principles, precision measuring, materials, metallurgy, and treatment applications.
• Advanced CAD/CAM programming knowledge and in-depth understanding of tool and die design and modification.
• Expertise with precision measuring instruments and the ability to interpret blueprints.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Franklin, New Hampshire, stand for extended periods, move around the manufacturing floor, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
