Lead Piping Designer

What you will do

• Lead piping design teams on medium- and large-scale projects.
• Guide junior to senior piping designers working locally and remotely.
• Develop piping and mechanical equipment layouts for greenfield and brownfield sites.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines during design reviews.
• Develop practical, innovative solutions for complex engineering and project challenges.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Piping Design Technology program or equivalent education.
• At least 15 years of piping design experience in an industrial setting, focused on oil and gas projects.
• At least 5 years of experience leading a piping design team.
• AutoCAD Plant 3D experience is required.
• Experience with SAGD oil sands projects and total facility piping and equipment layout is required.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CadWorx, SmartPlant 3D, and Bentley OpenPlant tools.
