Associate Principal, Electrical (Healthcare)

Location: Toronto, Canada — 380 Wellington Street West

Salary: $140,800–$176,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across electrical engineering, including equipment selection, specifications, system design, layouts, calculations, and field reviews.
• Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for healthcare projects, including new installations, retrofits, replacements, and upgrades.
• Manage and develop the Electrical Team through mentorship, supervision, training, and performance development.
• Plan workloads, allocate resources, forecast staffing needs, and monitor team and project performance.
• Build client relationships, represent the firm in meetings and presentations, and manage key stakeholders and pursuits.
• Lead business development activities, including proposal preparation, fee development, and GO/NO-GO decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of design experience in facility design and construction.
• Experience leading and designing diverse healthcare building projects.
• Experience leading teams or mentoring junior and intermediate staff.
• Experience responding to RFPs and writing Business Cases.
• University degree or college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PEng) designation.
