What you will do

• Specify and select rotating machinery for onshore and offshore projects, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and packaged systems.
• Manage the mechanical and systems technical scope for gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, electric motor-driven compressor trains, and related plant equipment.
• Perform technical bid evaluations and coordinate engineering information with vendors and internal engineering specialists.
• Review vendor drawings and witness acceptance tests at vendor facilities.
• Support field commissioning and startup activities when required.
• Address technical concerns with internal and external clients while maintaining engineering standards during design and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering field.
• 20 years of progressive experience in rotating machinery specification and selection.
• Working knowledge of current API standards for centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, and auxiliary systems.
• Knowledge of fluid and thermal systems, machine design, and rotodynamic principles.
• Experience with chemical, petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, LNG, ammonia, ethylene, or offshore projects is preferred.
• Professional Engineer certification or willingness to obtain it; proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Engineering contractor experience.
• Experience with installation and commissioning.
• Working knowledge of API standards for steam and gas turbines.
