Mechanical Engineer III (Sealing Systems)

What you will do

• Research, develop, and evaluate gas seals, wet seals, sealing systems, and related technologies.
• Design seal components and assemblies with attention to performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Analyze rotating equipment, sealing systems, and component interactions using mechanical engineering principles.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, design records, and technical documentation.
• Perform FEA and other engineering analyses, build prototypes, and execute laboratory and rig testing.
• Correlate analytical predictions with test data, investigate failures, improve designs, and support the transition of products into production.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanics, physics, materials science, heat transfer, tribology, fluid dynamics, and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting mechanical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
• Experience developing FEA models, interpreting results, and validating analyses.
• Knowledge of structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis methods.
• Ability to develop and execute engineering test plans and validation protocols.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and project execution skills.
