Mechanical Engineer (Naval Valve Systems)

Location: Onsite at Hunt Valve Co, 1913 E State Street, Salem, Ohio, United States. U.S. citizenship is required; candidates may not have dual citizenship.

What you will do

• Interpret technical requirements from naval customers and assist with engineering solutions.
• Participate in product design reviews and support compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications.
• Create 3D models and detailed, production-ready manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.
• Support design changes, drawing releases, technical documentation, bills of materials, and vendor qualification.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and external vendors to resolve design, production, and test issues.
• Gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing shop environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment; relevant internships, co-ops, and hands-on projects are accepted for recent graduates.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with ANSI drawing standards and GD&T; training and mentorship are provided.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, prioritization, and documentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship, no dual citizenship, and acceptable proof of citizenship are required due to access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NOFORN).

• Exposure to non-destructive testing, machining, manufacturing, or inspection processes.
