Parts Planner

Location: Fredericktown, Ohio, United States; onsite

A major U.S. general contractor providing heavy civil and industrial construction services, including highways, bridges, utilities, water and wastewater facilities, and marine construction.

What you will do

• Manage parts inventory and pull, issue, charge out, and reorder requested parts.
• Identify and order parts and materials required for equipment mechanics.
• Expedite shipping and receiving and communicate delivery timelines to customers.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing and delivery options.
• Maintain parts and maintenance history in Viewpoint and report parts issues to the Parts Manager.
• Operate a forklift, handle parts, answer parts-related calls, and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is also acceptable.
• At least 5 years of parts and/or equipment maintenance experience.
• Equipment knowledge is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint, Microsoft Office, computers, and electronic devices.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb on and under equipment to locate part numbers.
