Lean Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the facility in Blaine, Minnesota, United States; 12-week full-time summer internship from May/June through August 2027.

Salary: $22 per hour for time worked.

What you will do

• Observe manufacturing processes, document cycle times, and distinguish value-added from non-value-added activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives involving 5S, visual management, shadow boards, and workspace organization.
• Create or update workstation tool shadow boards, labels, and floor location markers.
• Assemble carts for material movement within and between work cells.
• Scan and organize documents and update Word, Excel, and PowerPoint materials.
• Partner with operations and support teams to communicate needs and implement improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, Production and Ihirify.globalory Control, or Engineering.
• Expected undergraduate graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Ability to complete the full-time summer internship in Blaine, Minnesota, from May/June through August 2027.
• Current authorization to work legally in the United States is required; work authorization sponsorship is not provided.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, organization, collaboration, adaptability, and personal responsibility.
• Willingness to learn and work with employees at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
