Continuous Improvement Intern (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: West Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and improvement opportunities.
• Collect, track, and interpret production performance, quality, and downtime data.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 6S, standard work, and visual management.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects; document improvements and help develop standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams, coordinating project progress and results.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data with attention to detail and initiative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Full-time onsite work in West Chicago, Illinois, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Relocation is not available; domestic travel is 0%.
