Medical Assistant - Evernorth - Towson MD

Location: Towson, Maryland, United States; clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: $19–$29 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Greet and check in patients, verify coverage and eligibility, and complete required paperwork.
• Obtain patient histories, take vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms and clean and sterilize instruments according to protocol.
• Answer and route telephone calls, take accurate messages, and schedule appointments.
• Review patient instructions and participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, and cross-training.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• At least one year of front- and back-office experience.
• Phlebotomy skills and solid computer skills, including electronic health records.
• Strong customer service, time management, teamwork, responsibility, and reliability.
• Ability to work clinic hours in Towson, Maryland, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
