Certified Medical Assistant - Float Pool Full-time Days

Location: 211 E. Ontario, Chicago, IL; local travel between hirify.global clinics is required

Salary: $20.25–$26.33 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff while maintaining efficient patient flow.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain and document vital signs, update medical information, and communicate changes to providers.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Promote patient satisfaction through professional communication and support delegated clinical and administrative activities.
• Provide flexible coverage across varying schedules, start and end times, and clinic locations.

Requirements

• Current certification or documented eligibility for an approved Medical Assistant certification exam is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience, with strong computer skills.
• Certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be completed within the first six months of employment.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and travel locally between clinic locations.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
