Medical Assistant-Primary Care Full Time Days

What you will do

• Facilitate patient flow by escorting patients, verifying identities, recording vital signs, updating medical information, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Support physicians, nurses, and other licensed staff during ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, and sterilize exam rooms, equipment, instruments, and procedure trays.
• Maintain vaccine, medication, equipment, instrument, and supply inventories.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while maintaining confidentiality and patient satisfaction.
• Perform delegated procedures and other duties according to clinic protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility to take an approved certification examination.
• Certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be completed within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program and experience with ambulatory care or electronic medical records are preferred.
