Plant Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC, United States. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Manufactures American-made rare-earth permanent magnets for defense, aerospace, automotive, and other advanced electronics applications.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and U.S. GAAP financial statements.
• Manage inventory rollforwards and reconcile MES and subledger balances to the general ledger.
• Analyze purchase price, usage, and manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions or reserve adjustments.
• Maintain fixed asset and construction-in-progress subledgers, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and placed-in-service determinations.
• Support foreign currency accounting, multi-entity consolidation, and intercompany eliminations.
• Assist with accounts payable, external audits, tax filings, compliance requests, and new accounting policy implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting; manufacturing or capital-intensive business experience is preferred.
• Strong U.S. GAAP foundation, including ASC 330, ASC 360, and ASC 830.
• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite or Ramp and reporting or consolidation platforms such as Workiva.
• Advanced Excel skills, comfort with large datasets and reconciliations, and strong attention to detail.
