Senior Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid role requiring work from the Berlin office three days per week

Salary: €54,100–€67,600 gross annually

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a constellation of imaging satellites and delivers satellite data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

• Establish cost accounting workflows, standard costing methodologies, and manufacturing time tracking for the Berlin production line.
• Lead monthly inventory close activities for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods, including cycle counts and adjustment analysis.
• Maintain cost and inventory tracking for satellite materials, launches, builds, internal fixed assets, and movements between international subsidiaries.
• Manage PCard reconciliations, capital expenditure classifications, labor capitalization, and accrued purchase and prepaid manufacturing schedules.
• Perform purchase price variance, production variance, scrap, and excess and obsolete inventory analysis, as well as balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support US and EMEA cost accounting workflows, audits, US GAAP, German GAAP, and SOX controls.

Requirements

• At least four years of relevant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or high-tech operational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or a relevant German Ausbildung with a specialized accounting or controlling focus.
• Experience with inventory controls and multi-entity global structures.
• Proficiency with modern ERP systems and advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Professional fluency in both English and German is required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and German GAAP (HGB).
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
