Controller (AI/Robotics Manufacturing)

hirify.global builds and maintains robot workers for factories and warehouses, combining in-house manufacturing with AI-driven operations.

What you will do

• Lead all accounting operations and the monthly close process.
• Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and compliance procedures.
• Manage internal and external audit activities.
• Prepare lender reporting, including covenant tracking and borrowing-base packages.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, financing, and lender stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably across public accounting and industry.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in hardware, manufacturing, or another inventory-carrying business.
• End-to-end ownership of a monthly close and company-side experience with an external audit.
• Knowledge of fixed assets, depreciation, lease accounting under ASC 842, ERP systems, and MES.
• Ability to work on-site in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Startup experience, especially at a company with approximately 100–300 employees.
• Experience taking a venture-backed company through its first audit.
• Experience with duties, tariffs, country-of-origin requirements, debt covenants, or borrowing-base reporting.
• Experience with Rillet, Ramp, or Rippling.
