Safety Specialist, EHS Operations

Location: Gloucester City, NJ, USA. Onsite role with a scheduled shift from 3:30 PM until close and flexibility for 7-day operations.

Salary: $24.72–$26.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Investigate work-related injuries and incidents, validate reports, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Guide facility personnel on safety and health matters and support safety training programs.
• Monitor safety programs and procedures for compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct workplace hazard audits and support forklift and aerial lift certification processes.
• Perform exterior security patrols, inspect security equipment, and respond to alarms, incidents, and service calls.
• Maintain emergency procedure knowledge, document security activities, and support special events with traffic control.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an AA/AS degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/CALOSHA regulations and experience administering personnel policies and procedures.
• Understanding of packinghouse, warehouse, and facility operations.
• Computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong observational, analytical, communication, planning, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work onsite, flexible shifts, and a 7-day operation schedule.
