Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (Medical Devices)

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; onsite

Salary: $20.10–$25.00 per hour

Develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions.

What you will do

• Support the Manufacturing Engineering Department on cross-functional Operations projects.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, and Quality Engineering personnel.
• Design parts, assemblies, and fixtures using 3D CAD and SolidWorks.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma techniques to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
• Analyze business and product concerns, determine logical actions, and present recommendations.
• Contribute to engineering changes and validation activities when applicable.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the start of the co-op.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Completed at least the first year of study with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, independent working, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience creating engineering changes and supporting validation activities.
