Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (Medical Devices)

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; onsite

Hourly pay: $20.10–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support the Manufacturing Engineering Department on cross-functional operations projects.
• Design parts, assemblies, and fixtures using 3D CAD and SolidWorks.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, industrial, and quality engineering teams.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma techniques to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
• Analyze business and product concerns and determine logical actions.
• Support engineering changes and validation activities when applicable.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the start of the co-op.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• Completed at least the first year of study with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to work independently and take direction.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience creating engineering changes and performing validation activities.
