Supervisor, Production (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Coordinate resources and supervise scheduled manufacturing production within budget, safety, and quality requirements.
• Manage production metrics, analyze shortfalls, and remove obstacles to meeting daily goals.
• Investigate system and process problems, perform root cause analysis and 8D activities, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate parts supply, preventive maintenance, safety procedures, equipment service schedules, and WIP inventory.
• Supervise hiring, training, scheduling, work assignment, performance evaluation, coaching, and employee development.
• Drive process improvement and audit preventive maintenance, in-process checks, changeovers, 5S, scrap, and production boards in an ISO 9001 environment.

Requirements

• At least five years of manufacturing experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year associate degree is preferred.
• Leadership, delegation, prioritization, independent judgment, and team education skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, automated, and work-cell manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Working knowledge of Lean and ergonomic concepts.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and work on-site in Morganton, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Two-year associate degree.
