Shift Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Chestnut Hill, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the manufacturing facility. The role requires assigned 12-hour shifts, overtime, and potential on-call availability.

Annual base salary: $93,600–$105,300, plus a quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate production employees and department activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.
• Lead safety practices, inspections, daily safety meetings, accident investigations, and food safety compliance under SQF guidelines.
• Train employees, develop subordinate skills, and facilitate communication between production crews.
• Maintain production, spoilage, and downtime records and lead problem-solving sessions for production, quality, and safety issues.
• Review production schedules, coordinate maintenance corrective actions, and monitor machine parts and supplies.
• Evaluate product quality and maintain SOPs, job safety procedures, and emergency-response readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree and two years of job-related experience.
• Broad experience in a manufacturing plant and working knowledge of supervisory practices.
• Experience with lean practices, including 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
• Ability to analyze statistical data, perform basic mathematical calculations, use computers, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to lead and train employees, meet deadlines, concentrate, and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work assigned 12-hour shifts Monday through Sunday, overtime, and on-call schedules as directed.
