Air Import, Operations Agent (Logistics)

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, United States; Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM. Must be able to commute to Hawthorne and work overtime when needed.

Salary: USD 20–30 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and issue invoices for air import shipments using agreed rates and tariffs.
• Validate carrier charges against tariffs, customer contracts, and shipment documentation.
• Coordinate with operations, customers, brokers, airlines, and trucking providers to resolve discrepancies and support timely freight flow.
• Maintain accurate billing records, complete daily reports, and ensure documents are sent for customs and delivery purposes.
• Use air import workflows and operating systems while meeting KPI, customer service, and compliance standards.
• Monitor aging reports, respond to billing inquiries, and assist with billing-related disputes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; future employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required.
• Comfort with numbers, basic mathematics, financial data, billing systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of air freight pricing, tariffs, and Incoterms is preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, prioritization, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
