Senior Vice President, Defense & Industrial Base Services (DIBS) (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Emeryville, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance.

Salary: $275,000–$425,000 per year.

What you will do

• Establish and execute the Defense and Industrial Base Services business strategy, operating priorities, and growth plans.
• Lead business and financial performance, including revenue growth, resource allocation, operating efficiency, and delivery quality.
• Build relationships with U.S. government and commercial customers and lead business development, capture, proposals, and pricing.
• Direct a multidisciplinary organization, including organizational design, staffing, leadership development, and performance expectations.
• Manage portfolio planning, quality assurance, program evaluation, and customer commitments across DIBS programs.
• Use the hirify.global Pilot Plant Network to advance promising bioindustrial technologies toward manufacturing, defense adoption, and commercial use.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in a customer-facing business, operating unit, or portfolio with responsibility for strategy, growth, financial performance, and delivery.
• Experience developing financial strategies, achieving revenue and margin targets, and improving operational efficiency.
• Track record of building customer relationships and converting customer needs into funded work, services, or partnerships.
• Experience with government acquisition, procurement, financial assistance instruments, and proposal development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing senior leaders in complex technical or regulated environments.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience serving federal or defense customers.
• Background in industrial biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, or another technology-intensive sector.
• Familiarity with technology transition, government contracting, or public-private partnerships.
