Program Claims Manager (Commercial Insurance)

Location: Tampa, FL; 2-day hybrid work arrangement in one of the offices

What you will do

• Lead and manage claim handlers responsible for program auto and general liability claims.
• Assign workloads, monitor productivity, provide coaching, and manage performance and professional development.
• Provide technical oversight for coverage analysis, reserving, liability investigations, litigation, negotiations, and claim resolution.
• Partner with underwriting, MGAs, agents, insureds, claims leadership, and cross-functional teams on program service delivery.
• Monitor claim metrics, inventory, severity trends, service performance, compliance indicators, and other KPIs.
• Coordinate claim service delivery across workers compensation, property, auto, and general liability when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive commercial claims experience, including significant auto and general liability experience.
• Strong knowledge of coverage, liability investigation, damages evaluation, reserving, litigation management, negotiation, and claim resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to manage claim quality, inventory, service expectations, and team performance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing and travel overnight up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Multi-line claims experience.
• Industry accreditation such as AIC, SCLA, or CPCU.
