Senior Claims Examiner - Home Office Bodily Injury

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work with initial in-person training and up to three work-from-home days per week

What you will do

• Review and monitor open claims files and evaluate completed files for compliance with claims-handling guidelines and state Fair Claims Practices.
• Provide support with coverage, liability, and damage determinations.
• Give feedback and provide training and educational materials to claims associates across operating states.
• Develop and present educational materials in classroom and remote settings.
• Assist with regional assignments, meetings, seminars, training classes, and other claims-related duties.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of multi-line claims-handling experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, mathematical, organizational, and data-interpretation skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple assignments.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Management or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Xactimate software.
