Design Interface Support Manager (Principal)

What you will do

• Provide logistics support and guidance to Air Force program offices on product support activities.
• Develop training materials and deliver on-site or virtual training.
• Monitor schedules and progress, answer questions, and support risk management.
• Develop standardized product support tools, processes, guides, specifications, templates, contract language, and performance metrics.
• Support program-office outreach through research, briefings, meetings, site visits, and staff assistance.
• Coordinate product support activities with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Air Force organizations, defense agencies, major commands, and AFLCMC offices.

Requirements

• Active or current Secret security clearance or higher, verifiable in DISS.
• Master’s or doctorate with at least 20 years of relevant experience, including 12 years in the DoD; or a bachelor’s degree with 25 years of experience, including 15 years in the DoD; or 30 years of directly related experience with required certifications, including 20 years in the DoD.
• At least five years of experience with a USAF program office or USAF program acquiring, fielding, and sustaining weapons or support systems.
• Expert knowledge of USAF systems engineering processes, design for sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and integrated product support.
• Knowledge of acquisition logistics and the 12 integrated logistics support elements, including supply support, technical data, maintenance planning, product support management, sustaining engineering, facilities, personnel, equipment, and training.
• Experience balancing system availability, sustainment objectives, support resources, and total ownership costs.
