Corporate Program Manager, Scientific & Federal Programs

Location: Remote, but the selected candidate must reside in the Maryland area. The role is associated with Rockville, Maryland, USA.

Salary: $95,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide corporate oversight for federal contracts and task orders, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead support for scientific research, environmental intelligence, decision-support tools, technology development, and science communication programs.
• Supervise multidisciplinary staff, manage performance and professional development, and lead recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Monitor budgets, labor utilization, subcontractor expenditures, forecasts, staffing plans, and contract financial performance.
• Build relationships with federal contracting officers, program managers, agency stakeholders, research communities, and technical teams.
• Lead risk mitigation, corrective actions, quality management, process improvement, knowledge transfer, and lessons-learned initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental science, engineering, public administration, business management, program management, communications, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience managing federal contracts, programs, or projects.
• At least 4 years supervising professional, technical, scientific, or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting federal agencies, research organizations, or scientific programs.
• Experience managing multiple contracts, task orders, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, contract compliance, performance management, and communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
