Engineering Technician (Robotics)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland; on-site workshop and customer-site work

What you will do

• Fabricate and assemble prototypes and small-batch series of dexterous robotic hands.
• Develop and improve manufacturing and assembly procedures.
• Develop, conduct, and document reliability and lifetime testing.
• Organize and manage a state-of-the-art mechanical workshop.
• Install robots at customer sites and provide hardware maintenance and project support.
• Instruct others in established processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Professional training or a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building and assembling complex prototypes, with strong intuition for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Professional or private-project expertise in FDM 3D printing.
• Proficiency in several areas including C++, C, Python, PCB design, CAD design, design for manufacturing, SMD soldering, and manufacturing processes such as CNC machining or injection molding.
• Strong motivation, problem-solving ability, and a structured, organized working style.
• Must hold a Swiss work permit or an EU passport; fluent English required.
