Claims Specialist

Location: Melville, NY, United States. The position is in-office, with training fully on-site and an opportunity to work 80% on-site and 20% off-site afterward.

Salary: Starting at $25.81 per hour ($52,000 annually); the stated general salary range is $23.91–$37.65 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage incoming customer calls and provide empathetic support after accidents.
• Collect accident facts and statements from involved parties.
• Investigate claim details and explain coverage and next steps to policyholders.
• Help customers complete the process of getting back on the road safely.
• Resolve customer concerns and contribute to a positive claims experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
• Ability to adapt, maintain attention to detail, prioritize, and multitask across platforms.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing claims experience is preferred.
