Engineering Manager (Security)

What you will do

• Define and deliver the security engineering roadmap with the team.
• Lead complex technical projects and contribute to product strategy.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on technical work.
• Measure team impact and contribute to engineering-wide initiatives, including recruitment and team processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, client representatives, and other engineering teams.
• Develop engineers and support their career progression.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams aligned with products.
• Technical background and strong communication skills, with the ability to drive technical decisions and work autonomously.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining security for modern technology stacks.
• Knowledge of AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and Go or Python.
• Ability to adapt the Engineering Manager role to the evolving needs of the team.

Nice to have

• Experience defining roadmaps, technical architecture, and deliverables.
• Experience balancing security risks with company objectives and opportunities.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as CSA-CCM, OWASP SAMM, or similar cloud, infrastructure, or application security frameworks.
• Experience building and operating security for distributed systems at scale.
• Experience recruiting engineering teams, defining team processes, or contributing to the security community.
