EHS Specialist II (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead investigations of near misses and injuries and track corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver site EHS training, including safety orientation for new employees.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate facility inspections, regulatory agency visits, audits, and corrective actions with the Plant Manager.
• Maintain OSHA 300, TIER, permit, training, and other regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and quality teams on safe work practices, SOPs, ISO 14001, and QMS activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety, or a related field is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience leading environmental and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, emergency response, first aid, CPR, and AED use preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and other QMS activities.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, delegation, and project management skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and remain calm during crisis situations.

Nice to have

• Safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, SMS, OHST, CHST, STS, STSC, or CET.
