Supervisor, Gas Field Operations (Gas Maintenance)

Location: Waterbury, CT; travel between MA/CT/NH is required

Annual salary: $121,710–$135,230, commensurate with experience; potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Supervise internal, external, and on-call crews performing gas distribution operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule field workloads, work packages, permits, drawings, and required authorizations.
• Act as the on-scene supervisor for outages, respond to and classify gas leaks, and direct emergency restoration activities.
• Monitor safety, workmanship, productivity, service levels, costs, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with customers and community officials regarding utility construction, operations, maintenance, and service delivery.
• Manage union-related matters, including work assignments, investigations, grievances, labor contract compliance, billing, and timesheet approval.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in gas distribution, field service design or installation, customer service, or utility operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of gas distribution system design, operations, maintenance, construction principles, safety standards, and business processes.
• Project and schedule management skills, including computerized work and materials management and scheduling tools.
• Working knowledge of labor contracts, plus communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Valid motor vehicle operator license; ability to obtain and maintain required operator qualifications and wear SCBA and required PPE.
