Shift Supervisor (Power Plant)

Location: Kennerdell, Pennsylvania, United States; on-site power plant role.

What you will do

• Supervise all personnel and equipment involved in shift operations for steam and electricity production.
• Ensure safe plant operation and compliance with environmental permits, regulations, laws, and company policies.
• Inspect equipment, review operating logs, monitor consumables, and maintain accurate production, outage, and performance records.
• Direct functional testing, switching and tagging, housekeeping, material handling, and routine preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, equipment problems, and unusual events; prepare analyses, recommendations, and follow-up plans.
• Support training, staffing, reporting, and coordination with operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, environmental, regulatory, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

• English communication skills and the ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations, and understand technical information.
• At least four years of experience in a power plant or control room environment, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of success in supervisory roles.
• Ability to qualify as a Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator at the facility.
• Knowledge of power plant equipment, safety, thermodynamics, chemistry, electrical theory, heat transfer, fluid flow, mechanical and electrical drawings, and rigging techniques.
• Valid driver license and proficiency with Windows-based applications; ability to work on-site with occasional lifting and climbing.
