Electrical Engineer (Building Projects)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; Workplace: On-site

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop electrical engineering concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for building projects.
• Work with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers and project architects on multidisciplinary projects.
• Act as project electrical engineer through proposal, design, bidding, and construction phases.
• Perform electrical code reviews and building condition assessments.
• Delegate and monitor tasks assigned to junior team members.
• Meet with internal and external clients and produce electrical engineering documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3 or more years at an architecture and engineering consulting firm.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, power, lighting, utilities, communications, security, and fire alarm systems.

Nice to have

• EIT or PE license.
