Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Machining

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio; this role will be located at the Cincinnati, Ohio facility and requires hands-on work on the production floor.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and improve machining processes for new and existing products.
• Provide hands-on production support for machining, tooling, and process issues.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process sheets, and standard work documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support new product introduction through fixture design, tooling selection, process validation, and capital equipment activities.
• Optimize CNC programs, feeds, speeds, and tooling while investigating non-conformances and improving equipment reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, including mills and lathes; multi-axis experience is preferred.
• Experience with process development, tooling, fixturing, cycle time reduction, engineering drawings, GD&T, and root cause analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Ability to work on the production floor in a hands-on capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or other high-precision regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, ERP/MRP systems, project management, or special processes such as heat treat, coating, or non-destructive testing.
