Systems Engineer III

Location: Remote

Salary: $97,200–$125,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance.

What you will do

• Lead and execute system architecture design for enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize large-scale systems, networks, servers, virtualization platforms, storage, cloud services, databases, and Microsoft 365.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot upgrades and enhancements for enterprise-class solutions.
• Investigate complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, respond to outages, and communicate resolution status to management.
• Provide technical leadership on projects, contribute to IT strategy and planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools for coding, scripting, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and research; review outputs for security, privacy, quality, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of systems engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi, Citrix, Hyper-V, public cloud platforms, and on-premises/cloud integration.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, SAN, NAS, server hardware, storage technologies, MS SQL Server, DB/2, clustering, high availability, backups, Microsoft 365, and security.
• Experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Jenkins, and Git.
• Leadership, project management, strategic planning, budget management, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.

Nice to have

• CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other relevant certifications.
